History
Founded in 1968, the University of Silesia quickly established a reputation as a vibrant academic institution and an important interdisciplinary research hub. With a tradition of launching new programmes to best meet the needs of rapidly changing labor markets, the University of Silesia offers students a variety of programs and specialized fields of study.
Education
The University of Silesia is the largest public comprehensive university in the south of Poland, educating nearly 24,000 students and doctoral students, including 900 foreigners. The University provides full-time and part-time studies in over 80 degree programmes and more than 200 majors. We teach in the following fields of study: humanities, the arts, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering and technology, as well as theology (the latter being very rare at Polish universities).
The University of Silesia gives its students a unique possibility to develop their interests, fulfil their passions and gain practical skills necessary in the constantly changing job market.
Research
The University of Silesia fosters humanist research projects oriented towards current social issues and demographic trend analyses, as well as tracking developments in biological and exact sciences. From local to regional, and from pan-European to global, the University of Silesia’s undertakings span the modern scientific continuum, observing, evaluating and proposing solutions. Supported by national and international institutions and consortia, multiple projects aim at achieving substantial technological advances to be practically applied in such areas as economic policy.

Journalism needs admin clarity
I like my field of study, but the administrative authority of the department sometimes provides information too late. There are also too many people in class groups, which sometimes makes it harder to focus. Generally, if you like journalism I recommend my university.
Tuition fee
The University of Lower Silesia in Wroc?aw is a university that really stands out from the rest. Tuition fees are moderate, which makes it accessible to many students. The curricula are mainly taught in Polish, but more and more courses are available in English, which attracts international students. The atmosphere is very friendly and open. There are many international students at the university, which is conducive to cultural exchange. The lecturers are professional and engaging, and their approach to students makes us feel appreciated. The university offers many opportunities for development, including internships and research projects, which prepares us for a future career. Wroc?aw, as a dynamic student city, additionally enriches academic life.

Doinoslaski University DSW is a place that offers a unique academic experience. The study programs are modern and adapted to the realities of the market, which makes us well prepared for the future. Small classes allow for an individual approach from lecturers, which promotes active discussion and better understanding of the material. The location of the university in the heart of Wroc?aw is a huge advantage. The city is vibrant, offering a rich cultural life and numerous attractions that are a perfect complement to learning. After classes, we can enjoy various events, from concerts to exhibitions. Student life at DSW is full of opportunities. Numerous scientific groups, workshops and integration meetings help to make friends and develop passions. The Doinoslaski University DSW is a place that not only educates, but also inspires to act and discover yourself. I definitely recommend this university!
