Overview

University of Bridgeport ’s School of Chiropractic (UBSC) was the first university-based Doctor of Chiropractic programme in the United States. Since 1991, the expert faculty at UB’s chiropractic school have led students through hands-on clinical experiences and into meaningful careers in patient care. With only 90 credits required to begin earning your DC, you will be placed on the fast-track to a fulfilling career providing patient-centered care.

At UBSC, we are committed to providing evidence-based, patient-focused care. The faculty prioritizes open communication between patients and providers to create positive experiences that foster long-term relationships with patients in your care.

The in-depth curriculum emphasizes the human body’s natural self-regulating and healing mechanisms. In developing a deep understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of different bodily systems, you’ll create management plans designed to reduce pain and prevent recurring health-related issues in patients in all stages of life.

Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Chiropractic (D.C.) programme from University of Bridgeport earn the ability to

Practice direct contact health care as a portal-of-entry provider for all patients.

Assess a patient’s general health status and determine a diagnosis.

Develop a goal-oriented case management plan.

Assume appropriate doctor/patient relationships with continuity in the chiropractic management of health problems, and coordination of care with other health care providers.

Promote wellness by assessing health risk and providing problem-related information and counseling.

Gain eligibility to sit for NBCE licensure.
